Arriva, one of the largest transport service organisations in Europe has placed an order for 80 single deck chassis, SB-200 from VDL Bus & Coach.

The single deck SB200 chassis is a proven chassis concept achieving very low fuel consumption through the combination of a well proven running gear. The chassis gives greater benefits than others tested, low fuel consumption, reliability and whole life costs.
Arriva’s SB200 is equipped with a Euro 5 Cummins ISBe 6-cylinder diesel engine in combination with a Voith gearbox. The SB200 chassis is capable of giving an interior that allows for wheelchair’s and buggies plus ample seating on the lower area of its low-floor construction.
The driveline in the SB200 chassis has been built on the VDL Citea LLE European body which has major success in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Israel. The Citea has been awarded Bus of the Year 2011.
The company is active in the area of passenger transport in Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Malta and United Kingdom. It is one of the largest bus companies in the United Kingdom with operating companies in the north-east, north-west and south-east of England and north Wales.
